Beds are pieces of article of furniture used for sleeping. Unlike types of beds have been used throughout history, many very unlike the beds we know today. Some were simple piles of rugs or sacks stuffed with straw, while others were huge and elaborately carved.

During medieval times, beds were frequently surrounded by curtains to keep out drafts. Some beds from fifteenth-century Europe were very large, measuring 7 feet by 8 feet (modern king size beds are just over 6 feet square). The Slap-up Bed of Ware from the sixteenth century measured x feet by xi feet. That is larger than the rooms in many homes! It is thought that the whole family unit may take slept in them.
The modern bed began to take shape during the 1800s, complete with coiled spring mattresses and metal bed frames, also called bedsteads. Footstep-by-Stride Instructions for Cartoon a Bed
1. Brainstorm by drawing a rectangular cube. Kickoff, describe a parallelogram to form the top of the mattress. Then, extend a straight line down from each of its 3 nearest corners. Connect these lines using directly lines, forming the three-dimensional rectangular cube.
2. Draw the bedposts, erasing equally necessary. Draw a narrow rectangle upon each corner, extending beyond the cube on the top and on the bottom.
3. Depict parallel curved lines in a rainbow shape from one bedpost to the other on the narrow finish of the bed. This forms the headboard.
four. Depict a circle on the pinnacle of each bedpost. These are the knobs or pommels.
5. Describe a straight line down the middle of each bedpost, giving them a three-dimensional advent.
6. Describe the coating on the bed, erasing every bit necessary. Use overlapping curved lines to draw the lumpy top of the blanket and the overlapping folds of the bottom of the blanket.
seven. Draw the pillows, erasing as necessary. For each pillow, enclose an oval shape. Draw "U" shaped lines at each of the corners, so draw a curved line to indicate the seam.
8. Decorate the footboard of the bed by drawing a rectangle within information technology, parallel to the exterior.
