Do you tip the hair/makeup artist?
I experience like we are already paying a ton to get our hair and makeup done ($75 for hair and $90 for makeup each). Do you have to tip on elevation of that?

Wow. i am jealous of all of these toll quotes. i guess information technology is a few years subsequently and I live near Tahoe; only I'grand getting quoted $250 for hair, $250 for makeup -- and and then bridesmaids/others are half of that. it is through an private, so i am pretty sure based on these prices i do non need to tip...

As a professional in this industry and a business possessor I never look a tip regardless if I travel to the location or my clients travel to me. I can't speak for every makeup creative person simply information technology is a compliment on my work when I do go tipped, and non merely that as a business owner 100% of the coin I make from nuptials/special occasion gigs go'due south reinvested into my company for makeup, tools, standing instruction, utilities, rent, insurance, etc. So when I do receive tips that'south really the just coin that goes into my personal pocket.
Again I can't speak for every creative person out there and the motives behind the prices they quote merely that is up to you to do your research on them and enquire the artist questions like what brand of products they use, and what they will utilize on y'all, how long they take been doing it for, if they are certified, licenced, or trained, etc that way yous accept a articulate idea of who you are hiring.
So next time when an artist quotes you lot and yous feel its a chip pricey just retrieve what might exist behind that cost.

It is your choice actually, you can or cannot give a tip whenever yous want. Just as for me, I unremarkably give a tip to the stylists in the hair salon Northumberland that I visit. Some say that information technology is a full general rule, but I'k actually doing it whenever the work of the stylist is great. In your example, if y'all really remember that the cost you're paying for is as well high, then you should not feel obligated to give a tip. But if you lot are happy with the work of your hairstylist or makeup creative person, and you lot have extra cash, why not requite them a tip?

If y'all are going to a Salon to have it done, yes as a courtesy. The stylists don't make 100% of the price they are charging. If they are mobile and coming to you, no. My girls are coming to me to do our hair & makeup, and I won't be tipping farther

We did tip our hair and makeup artists. I've heard the general dominion is that if they own their ain company that you don't need to tip them but nosotros did tip a few our vendors anyways.

My event planner said that you lot don't demand to tip a diversity of the hymeneals professional and in place of a tip provide enforcing reviews for them on places like wedding ceremony wire, Facebook or whatsoever their mode of advertisement happens to exist. She said the positive reviews are worth more than the extra cash tip.

Also $90 for bridal makeup is very good! I charge $150 when I practice bridal makeup. Make sure you do a free trial if you haven't already

Im a makeup artist and you do not demand to tip. Makeup artist don't look it.
